Wild fire in California..?
I just wanted to make a thread going out to all those people who have been hurt, evacuated, or threatened in any way by the wild fires in California.
The area I used to live in, 1 mile from San Diego Zoo, is completely burnt to the crisp and I feel for everyone who's homes have been burnt, or who's lives have been interupted.
Today, fire men and their trucks left Oregon to help fight the fire in South California, knowing the risk they are entering.
It's an amazing thing when complete strangers come together to pull through a sticky situation.
The animals at the San Diego Zoo remain there, however certain animals like the Condors have been moved to a fire proof vet hospital onsite.
If you have anything to say to the people who are struggling in this time of need, say it here!

i just want to say that so many people are helping out. the area were they are keeping the evacuated people are getting food and supplies donated by the truck load. they have so many volenteers they are asking people to stop coming over. they have clowns doing face painting. Arts an crafts donated and run by teachers. therapists have come to help out along with people giveing massages and acupuncture. people have donated their land for all the live stock. a family friend took us in until we had to be move to a relatives house. many people are staying with relatives. they have free daycare set up. its great it seems more fun at the evacuation centers than in my house. its just amazing.
