What does it mean when your truck?

starts bellowing out thick, blue smoke everywhere you go? I was racing to work this morning cause i was late again and while I was chugging up hill i thought i heard something pop up under the hood and then my truck started to smoke like some kind of forest fire or something. On the way home this afternoon I stopped by Autozone and they said i needed some oil and when he saw it smoking and running all rough he said I prolly needed a new engine. I cant afford a new car or truck so i just bought a gallon of cheap oil and topped it off and drove on home. Lord, you should have seen the smoke that truck was making. I bet I made a cloud 3 blocks wide sitting at a traffic light in town and people were passing me blowing their horns and a pointing at my tailpipe. How long can I drive it like this? Will it go for another year or so if i just keep pouring oli in it? I was thinking maybe I could just buy some old oil from a garage and use that instead fo new oil cause it's so expensive. i used all my lunch money to buy that gallon of Autozone oil. Do you think I can keep driving it like it is? I smoked up my whole neighborhood this afternoon.

Your engine is blown. A ring on a piston is gone, or a hole in a piston. A valve seal maybe. Engine is junk. You will be pulled over by the police and cited for that smoke. Time for a new engine….sorry bud.

IF you’re lucky, it is a blown head gasket. If you ain’t so lucky, you probably have done some major damage to the engine. read the above reply. Get it to a shop ASAP.

    Herman, Herman, Herman —
Just keep pouring old, used motor oil in the heap and drive it till it completely blows up. You can always take a taxi to work…

It means somebody plugged it up with a weenie, no doubt.

Actually you could run an ad in the local paper and internet service, offering to pick up others used oil. That way you can keep pouring oil into your truck for a year or so. As far as the smoke goes, just turn up the radio louder and that way you will not have to listen to the horns of passerby. If anyone ever stops you and ask what your doing, you can tell them your fogging for mosquito’s.
