K, So my high school charges 0 a year per student to park in the parking lot. I said what your probably saying "Fuuuuuk that!"
So I've been parking across the street in a residential neighborhood. I've checked with the police and theres nothing illegal about it. The street belongs to the city but its in a really rich area where theres not 1 house under 0,000 not kidding! So the schools been getting calls all day long from these rich office working pricks saying that they dont want my truck on THIER street. (And I'm the only automobile on the entire street, everyone who lives there parks in thier garages.) I've been pulled out of class 3 times in 5 days having talks w/ the deans saying I should buy I ticket trying to scar me w/ being towd when I know that they cant. Theres no sings in the area saying I cant park there, I park perfectly non in front of a fire hydrant, a house, or a curb/corner. Should I just give in and give the school and give them the money?

I have a 01 Nissan frontier xe. I need to know where I can find a wiring harness for the Sony cd player I have that will fit my truck. I bought one but it didn't work. The Sony is a couple years old but is like new. So I figured I'd use it and save a little money. I connected all the wires by the color code pluged it in and nothing happened. When I was done wiring everything. I had three wires left over, orange(illumination)dark blue(antenna)black/white(lightning ground) do I need those if my stereo didn't have them. And what could have been the problem. All my fuses are good. I pluged my stock stereo back in when it didn't work and it fired right up. Anything will help
Yes the hot and the grounds were plugged in. But when I turned the key, nothing.... The radio is fine. It worked in the last car I had and never had a problem.

I was 15 years old and saved up some money to buy a 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe, the Coupe's with the 200 Six cylinders were a dime a dozen back in 1986. The engine did not need to be overhauled but I did anyway. I was going to tech school for automobile mechanics, and my Dad had offered to pay for all the parts. I did all the head work myself, got all new parts, new paint job for the motor, the works. To make a long story short every little thing was replaced on the engine. Well about two weeks into all my glory of succesfully rebuilding a Ford 200 six cylinder I was on my way home with a great big head of accualy rebuilding something and it working, when all hell broke loose. She was poping through the carb, she was back firing through the tail pipe. It was so imbarising, so I pulled over let the car sit for about 5 minuets. I then turn the key and she begain to run normal. About ten more minuets of driving it all started agian. What was it? Here is a clue the part cost about .50

Last May I went to one of the local automotive shops to have a better engine put in my car. I had the work done and I had my car returned to me in July. I had major work done, I basically took out my 350 and put a 383 in it. Anyways I had to break it in and after 500 mile I took it back to get my car's computer reprogrammed so it would pass smog. After waiting about a couple days the manager at the shop told me that my transmission could not handle the new engine and that I would need to buy a new transmission. I told him that was fine and that I would need to wait a couple weeks before I had the money. So after I picked up my car and took it home that same day, I noticed that there was water and oil leaking so I took it back to the shop to get it fixed, apparently something had gone wrong I forgot exactly but I ended up leaving my car at the shop because they never fixed the leaking problem and suddenly my transmission blew when they were moving it around. A couple more weeks later after I saved enough money to get a transmission that can handle my engine, I found out from the mechanic who had been working on my car that the manager had moved my car without any oil in the engine a couple days after I brought it in the day i found the leak, and the manager had told my mechanic to tell me that the transmission had blown out to by them time to replace my new engine. My mechanic was then fired from the shop because he refused to put together the recently damaged engine and give it back to me as though nothing had ever happened to it. And now its almost December and I still don't have my car back. I have spent 11 grand on the engine and they have hassled me and are placing the blame on the mechanic who has done nothing but tried to do the right thing. He was fired and is willing to help me out because this shop has basically screwed me. What should I do and what kind of court action should I take?

“Eric!” a shout came ringing out, and I started shuffling towards my boss, on the other side of the isle of the auto repair shop I worked at. As I got closer, I saw he wasn’t going to give me a raise, he looked more furious than I had ever seen him.
“Yes, sir, what is it?” I replied, pondering why he was this angry.
“You remember a customer that came in with the black Ford pickup truck?” he paused a moment, expecting me to answer. After a second he continued, “State Farm just called, representing that same customer, whose brakes you were supposed to fix, by the way, expecting money because his brakes gave out at an intersection!”
Ouch. This was big. I did fix a guy’s black pickup trucks brakes a while ago, or so I thought. I would definitely be fired for this one, and it would be near impossible to find another job. My head started to pound, and I felt like the world was collapsing in.
“You’re fired, Eric.”
I walked out of the open garage door of the shop and started to think. Without a job, I had no income, and without income, I had no house, no food, no anything. I had no way out. I kept walking, thinking until I came across something; another auto shop, this one called Pro Parts. I casually strolled in, looking around. I quickly realized that this shop was nothing like my old one. It was filled with body parts, under lights, rims, and things like that. This place didn’t repair cars, it customized them. I looked for the owner, and after a second I noticed someone in a back room, working on a car. I hit the service bell, and he rolled out from under the car and headed towards me.
“What do you wish to buy today?” he inquired, looking for something in my hands.
“Are you hiring right now?” I asked, hoping to get another job fast as I could.
“No, I’m not. Sorry about that, but I don’t need help. Do you want to buy anything?”
“Not right now,” I stated, disappointment heavy in my voice.
Trying to make me happier, the guy said, “Did you hear about the race at Resco yet?”
“No,” I said. “What’s Resco?”
“It’s a raceway. I’m surprised you never heard of it. They’re having a tourney soon, in two days. The entry fee is fifty dollars, but the winner gets fifty grand and a new car, too.”
I drifted into a daydream. I could do a lot with fifty grand, all right. However, I had no car. I lived in Chicago, right next to my job, and had no need for one.
“Bye, then,” I said, strolling out the door, and once again onto the sidewalk, happier than when I came in.
I needed to win that race, and I had a plan. I had good credit, so I would just loan money for a car, about thirty thousand, and when I won, I could just give thirty thousand back, and have twenty to spend as I please.
Five hours and a cramped hand later, after filling out tons of paperwork, I had thirty thousand in my account now, to spend as I please.
The next day, my goal still clear in my mind, I walked to the first dealership, this one for used cars. I looked around, and after making five rounds around the entire parking lot full of cars, I walked inside, where they kept their “showy” cars. And that is where I saw it, the car I was going to get. A used 2005 Mustang GT from Ford. A nearby dealer must have seen my look of awe, because he strolled over and asked, “Would you like to buy that, sir? Twenty five thousand dollars, plus a small fee.”
I had a quick wave of doubt, how this was laying all my cards down, taking a risk that could send my life to the fast track, or destroy everything. However, this quickly passed, and then, I took the jump.
“I’ll take it, right now if I can,” I mumbled, sounding like an awestruck child on Christmas.
“Yes, I’ll get it right away!” The dealer was overjoyed that he made a sale, and he probably earned commission, so I could see why.
I watched them bring it to the garage, where I hopped in, and my heart was racing, beating faster than I could ever remember. The car smelled of leather, and the overall feeling was phenomenal. I would have gone home and celebrated, but I had an idea for that last five thousand.
Five minutes later, after having the best drive of my life, I was in front of the same place I had been before, called Race, Rims, and More. As I was walking up to it, I saw the same guy I had talked with before. I walked inside.
“You’re back again, huh?” the owner seemed happy to see me. “I’m still not hiring, if that’s what you’re wondering. By the way, call me Norman.”
I wasn’t really listening. I was obsessed with the things around me now, now that I had a car. I had five grand in my pocket, and I was going to spend it right, at least in my view.
“What would you think I would need to enter the race, I mean, if I want to win.” I said, completely off topic, but important.
“Oh, you’re entering, are you? What are you using in the race?” Norman was scanning the parking lot, trying to find my car.
“That green Mustang, that’s mine. I just bought it yesterday.” I boastfully told him

I have worked in law inforcement and as a correction officer. I've seen many laws being broken by the officers. When I complained I was the one who got set up and repermanded. As a civilian I've seen many traffic laws broken by patromen. To name a few like speeding , double parking, leaving their patrol car unattened with engine running, use their police car as their own private car, park blocking a Fire Hydrant,
and ect. I don't believe this is right but everyone acts like it's okay. I've even heard they have a special right to do this.
I can tell by the answers I got that some of you feel that it's alright for a police office to break the laws.
When I worked as a correction officer some of the other guards use to harass the inmates. So you think it's okay. And you swore to up hold the law. Shame on you!
I did not make false allegations. Some of them even stole food and money and got away with it all. I know one county wheere the sheriff went to jail for stealing food. Of couse in our department they got away with it all. Nobody seem to care.
I don't deal with it any more. I've got an early retirement and have been retired for 8 years. I saw some thing on TV that made me ask this question.

So my I drive a 96 Pontiac grand Am SE 4 cyc manual transmission, when I bought it, it was running but then I went away for a year or so. My car sat in my drive way with half a tank of gas. I came back after a year and my battery died so I replaced it and I was back on the road. I only drove the car 2 days before my car died. Well I was driving on the free way and I never had to drop into 5th gear on this day I had to drop it into 5th. As soon as I dropped into 5th my car started to lose speed and it started to shake, I mean the whole car inside and out was shaking. I pulled over turned my car off and started it up again and it was still shaking as soon as I put it into 1st I gave it some gas my car jumped forward then died. This did this twice and completely died. I changed the spark plugs that didn't do it. So I took it to a mechanic he changed my crank censor which caused the car to start up smooth but then he said the 3 cyc isn't firing. I then took it to the dealer who wanted to charge me ,500 to ,000 to take apart my engine fix the problem and put back together. I told them no. My question is what could be the problem? My other mechanic said it could be the computer. Another mechanic told me I should break down and buy a used engine.

The dealer said it could be these problems.

POSS CAMSHAFT TIMING

POSS COMPRESSION LOSS IN CYLINDER LINE

POSS CYLINDER HEAD OR VALVE DAMAGE

My thoughts are it could be build up so I thought I could drain the gas put in some valve cleaner then put in fresh gas as well as an oil change.
Does any one know what it could be or what I should do? Also money is an issue.

this problem is baffling me! Im getting very desperate now so i hope someone can help me. heres the info:

My light pickup truck (93 nissan) starts up fine in the morning when i go to work. (i deliver in it) but as soon as i turn it off and try to start it back up again it wont start. i dont really hear firing either. so usually i try to push start it and it fires up. when it does i can smell that the engine was flooded (heavy gas smell) but it does start running again. but if i were to turn the truck off i wouldnt be able to start it. i would just hear the starter motor going and no firing. now if let the truck sit for a few hours i (maybe) can start it up using the starter. and i have no idea why any of this is happening. it doesnt make sense to me. why does the truck start in the morning. but not start 10 minutes later. why does it not start 10 minutes later but then can be push started?

i have brand new gas in it. brand new plugs.

also occasionally on days when i get it started up sometimes around second gear it sputters bad like its only firing on 3 cyl. it goes away once i give it some gas. then sometimes never comes back that day.

winter is coming and i need this truck to work so bad. i cant even buy new tires for it. because i dont want to waste the money and once i turn the truck off at the tire place it will be stuck there. please help. thanks.

The number 3 Cylinder is not firing correctly. The plugs, wires and coil are new and work fine, the fuel injectors work fine, compression builds up in all four cylinders. My mechanic said that the number 3 Cylinder probably doesn't get a correct signal from the PCM (ECU). And he advised me to buy a new one, since they are quite expensive I would like to hear multiple opinions before investing that kind of money in a car that's worth hardly twice the price of the repair. Thanks!!!

It's the 2.0 Liter (US). They told me that the cylinder itself is ok, but I don't know if they just want me to do all kinds of repairs to make a lot of money. I don't want to spend too much on this car, since it is old and has 163,000 miles on it.

ok... here goes.

i am 18. i want to be a vet. i work at an animal hospital now. its about 10 minutes from my house. we do large and small animals. i am a kennel girl/vet technician. i have been there for almost 16 months. i make minimum wage (for those of you who don't know TN's min wage, it's .55). i do kennels in the morning and evening (if i am there) and i tech the rest of the time. i am tired of being bitched at about the kennels. i barely get any respect for being a technician. another technician i work with has been there fro 2 1/2 years and just got a raise like 2 months ago to . my hours have been cut MEGA. if i was making more, it prolly wouldnt be a big deal. i go to school 2 days a week and i work other than that. no, i dont have many bills right now, but i do want to buy a new truck in a year and a half, and i would like to have money saved up to make a good down payment and be able to keep up with bills, and working where i am now, i will not be able to do that. my boyfriend semi works where i am and he has talked to our office manager and apparently our clinic is not looking too good. usually we get slow around winter time, but we pick up in spring, but it has never been this bad. i know the economy is bad, but good gosh! and even if we do pick up soon, that doesnt mean i am going to get paid more... i know that i will not get a raise for a while!

soooo... i have been putting a resume together and looking at another vet clinic where a friend of mine works. she has been talking to the doctor there about me coming to work there. he said i could put in a resume and application and i would be considered when they need to hire someone. so, she called me today and offered me a job. the catch is that the job is as a receptionist. the main one is moving to office management and they need to fill the position. she said i could do that, or put in a resume for a tech spot and i could get it when one opens, and that he is about to fire 3 techs.
this clinic is further away, and they do not do large animals. they are a small animal/exotic clinic. i would miss the large animal practice, since i also want to do that. but i also have 4 years of undergrad left before vet school. as far as the trip down there, me and my friend could car pool since she lives down the street. but, i would need to get paid much more to have to drive down there. but i would have a better paying job, i wouldnt have to do kennels, and i would get more respect.
i just want to know that the same thing will not happen there as it is where i am.

so... do i take the job as a receptionist, and tell them i want to move to a tech spot as soon as it opens, before they hire anyone else for it? (i would automatically be making more and be trained in many different areas)
do i just put in the resume for a tech spot and stay where i am until then?
or, do i just stay where i am? (i'm just scared to be let go!)

i told my friend that i will think about it. she said that she would call the doctor and let him know i was thinking about it. i am also going to go up to the clinic when that doctor is there and talk to him about hours and pay.

soo... i would like a little more advice on this matter!
it is a big decision to make!

i feel kinda selfish for wanting more money, but i have been working there long enough that i feel i deserve to be making more than minimum wage. also, i deserve a little more respect than what i am getting.

for the meanies out there - i know i don't need to rely on the internet to solve my problems for me, but i would like some advice is all!

My cousin, who is like a brother to me is 22 years old. Him and his gf have been together since high school. She got pregnant and had his baby last July. They moved out of my cousins house and into her parents house. My cousin has always worked with his dad. His dad has his own construction company.

His baby mama, bc thats what she is, doesnt work. Neither does her dad, nor her little brother who got fired for smoking weed at work. (hes a looser and 16)

While they live at her parents, only my cousin and her mom work. His baby mama goes to school and so does my cousin.
Technical schools

He has a BMW that his dad makes payments for every month. His gf had a scion but passed it on to her brother. Which they are financing as well.
My cousin just bought a truck and passed his bmw to his gf and is paying off the new truck.

Well just a month ago they found out his baby mama was pregnant again!

So now they decided they wanted to get married! idk why bc my cousins talks about his girl like he doesnt love her and he is also depressed.

Did i mention, he bought her a 5000 dollar engagement ring a few weeks ago.

I know this all their business and what not but he is like a big brother too me and i feel like this b!tch is making him this way. I feel he feels obligated bc of the babies. I hate her! But seriously people what do you think, AND they are getting married tomorrow.

But not for love, they want to fix things. I think he is tired of calling her his baby mama. My family thinks the same way.

Dont you think he needs to save money instead of buying her a ring that expensive?

She also cheated on him a few years ago, my family saw her twice and he never believed them!

He also goes and tells her everything so we cant tell him NOTHING!

Just wondering if anyone has read the book on Rube Waddell. Anyone who hasnt heard of him should read up on him a little. He played at the turn of the century and is by most accounts the oddest player of all time.
Ive read some stories of him, but was wondering if anyone has read his biography ( I cant seem to find it anywhere around here)and apparantly there is one.

I know he chased fire engines, was late for games because he was playing pick up games with kids, marbles or was hungover. My favorite is Connie Mack buying toys and shiny things from the story to distract him. They would line them on the baselines.
He was so bad with money that the owners had to hide his money becuase he would spend it all at once, like a kid.

I guess by todays standards he would be considered mentally challenged. (he was probably autistic)
He died young from contracting a sickness brought on by helping flood victims.
I will look into him..I love reading about the old players..The game was so much better then and the players played a "game". Very interesting period and alot of characters.

My bf n I have been together for 8mos. We dated for a while 3.5yrs ago, but went on his 1st deployment soon after. We both decided to split b-cuz it wasnt fair to me. We stayed in contact, but moved on. He was deployed 2nd time. Not too long after coming home we got back together. Here's the tricky part. The longer we go on the more i see that he has become a selfish person. He lost his dear truck to a fire before x-mas. By feburary he has another. He's not w/o vehicles. He sold a suped up '72 VW bug and bought a boat. All the while I'm watching him and asking my-self why is he spending all his money on instant gratification instead getting engaged liked we talked about. He's always telling me that he has "things that [he] has to take care of before we can get engaged",i.e bills. But he keeps buying parts etc, for boat, truck and 2 other VWs. It seems like he's trying to keep up with the Jones'.When we argue, he acts like a child, storming off or hanging up on me. Should I leave him?

I work for a BIG company- they have over 300 trucks and spend over 5 grand a week for fuel. My girlfriends uncle installs HHO-Cells ( the ones you see on-line and can buy) Anyway i told him about it and he wanted 2 of them to see how they work. it was on for a day and he said it wasn't working right so I asked if I could check it out-he told me to wait until Monday (its Friday). Monday comes he doesn't come in. Tuesday-the cell is cut,cracked and sitting on the table. Now for the next week and a half he has given me grunt work. Even told me I had to do a roof job for him using my tools and he would supply 2 labors for me but he would only pay me .00 an hour and the labors made more then me. I used to do that sort of work he knew that. I told him no-way! That's crazy he told me to take 3 days off of work then. there's no work! So he wants his money for the cells and I told him to call the Uncle he has all the information. he wouldn't and told me he was keeping my paychecks and then I was fired! I called the Uncle and he has been trying to get my X-boss but they won't put him through. The Cells were paid for by check and made out to the uncle with 2 different #'s to call. I know they X is trying to make the cells himself and thats why he has been giving me grunt work..trying to get me to quit! Can he keep my pay? Oh I did call the labor board and they said I have to wait it out 10 days. I have a bills-10 days????

I am a natural blonde, dirty, dishwater blonde. And I don't like it. About 9 years ago, i started dying it auburn. But one thing led to another, and the reds i chose just kept getting darker and darker.

After I let the very dark red fade, and my roots proceded to come in, this is what my hair looked like right before I bleached it.

After all that, I was like, I have had enough. I can either shave it all off and start over, or i can try to take the color out and go back to blonde. Maybe add some highlights.
I went to the salon, and the girls there told me it would be a long hard process and it would cost more money than I had at the time. But they encouraged me, warned me even, not to try anything at home, come back to the salon and they would see what they could do for me. Well... I think it was the "sale" talking. So...
I went to the Sally's Beauty Supply by my house and told them/showed them my situation. They recommended some Ultra Blue product. It was a bleach. And I got a toner, to tone the orange, i was sure I would get from bleaching. And I bought ash blonde dye because the saleswoman said that the ash color would also help to tone the orange. This is what happened after i bleached it:

I then went back to the beauty store (with a blue bandana tied around my head) and showed the sales lady what had happened. She was shocked to say the least. Then she suggested I try bleaching it again. I really didn't feel like killing my hair any worse, so I asked if the toner and ash blonde dye would at least eliminate most of the orange. She said I should give it a go. So I did, and this is how it went:

Not too too shabby. It worked out a-okay. I was doing pretty good with the strawberry/orange blonde hair going on.
BUT... some of the red stayed darker on one side of my head. So I have some pretty dark red streaks on the left side.
And now, I am actually getting sick of this multi-tonal predicament I am in.
After looking at all the photos (which i apologize for such a time consuming question), what do you think i should do?

Keep in mind, I have one blue eye and one blue/brown eye. I don't want to be fire engine red, i like brown red, and I don't mind going blonde either. I need product names or ideas.
This is me, without my roots showing. I think i like this color, but how do i get my blond roots to look like this, and not a crazy lighter color?

But that's not the biggest issue I'm having here! lol

I'm a 17 year old student and I'm ready to buy my first car. I found a nice 2001 Jetta at a Repo site and it looks fairly good. It's a 2001 Jetta Wolfsburg with 137,000 km on it. It's the 5 speed 1.8T and it's going for about 7,000. Ive been looking at cars for a while now and all these review that I've read have horrible reviews for Volkswagens in general. Repairs in the thousands for things like new engine and transmissions, windows stuck in the doors, fires, radiators blowing up etc. I don't want to spend more than around 7,000 and this car seems like a good deal but I don't have the money to fix these major things. Btw, I would take a mechanic to check it out before i buy it. Any suggestions?? Thanks a lot

Money isn't a issue, I just want a quality red lipstick and all the ones I've bought at are too orange, or fire engine red. I want a berry red, or a deep red.

I hate frosty lipstick.

I'm planning on dyeing my hair a bright, screaming, primary red, and cannot go to the salon (no money, no time). I know I'll have to bleach it first and wait a few days before putting the red in, yadda yadda yadda.

All I want to know is, what's the best dye to use? Manic Panic is the only brand I know of that sells a fire-engine red color, but I heard it fades out really really fast. I know most reds will fade quickly, but I heard Manic Panic colors overall fade out super quick.

Any other suggestions? Thanks!
p.s. wig is a bad idea, because I'm dyeing the top portion of my hair black, and want only the bottom half to be red. Thanks anyway =P
