2005 Dodge Neon SXT will not fire?

I have a 2005 Dodge Neon SXT 2.0 automatic. power everything. It has 118,xxx miles. Engine rebuilt at 60,xxx miles. The check engine light has been on for years now and it shook like crazy at a red light or stop sign. I took it to auto zone and they said misfire in #3 and I did not worry about it. I have been driving it like that for several years. Last month, I was driving 65-70 mph on the highway and cruising like that for about 10 miles and as soon as I started to slow down it shook so hard like a mad bull and died. It had been raining that day but roads were not very wet. I coasted to the side and tried starting it and it was turning over good but no fire. I tried starting in every gear and no luck. I had it towed home and I checked the fuel pressure and it was getting gas and no fire. I ended up buying an engine for it that had 47,xxx miles that ran well and I seen it running. The engine came from a 2004 Dodge Neon SXT and ran great. I had it installed and it is doing the EXACT same thing as the old engine was doing. Any idea??? Any help would be thankful.
I put my new code reader on my car after the engine swap and it says 4 codes. Map Sensor, Barometer Pressure Low, Crank Sensor, Cam Sensor. What can make ALL these on??? It ECU, PCU, Computer fried? Or is there a fuse??? Please Help!
1995 dodge ram wont start?
hi there i just bought a 1995 dodge ram. its when i bought the car it fired right up no problem. after i bought it i drove around turning the car off and on. the next morning i went to my truck and it would not start. it cranks all day just wont even try to sputter the engine. i know some what about trucks and i got the truck started by messing with the throttle when someone else cranked the engine. sometimes it starts sometimes not.. if i get it started the truck runs fine. i can start it shut it off all day as much as i want. just when it sits over night does it not want to start. i need some help on this one. its been at the mechanics for 3 days so far ive got the computer sensor changed he still does not know whats wrong. ps it has a kill switch i have to push in while i start the truck. if that matters.
its a 1995 dodge ram v8
kill switch controls the engine ground or something. you cant start the car unless you push in the kill switch.
1997 truck burned down?
I bought a 1997 dodge 1500 from a reputable car dealer in idaho. A month later a fire started under the hood and burned the truck completely. There is no used car lemon law in idaho. What can I do?
What is wrong with my 2004 van?
My husband and I bought a 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan in February. It only has 53,000 miles on it and it is acting up. It has a hesitation to it, and when I push the gas pedal it back fires. My husband is worried that it is the transmission, but I think that it is either the fuel filter or fuel injector. The check engine light came on, My father-in-law thinks that it is a sensor going bad. What could it possibly be? Do you think that it will be expensive to fix?
We called around and nobody does a free scan. My husband said that we will just have to take it to a dodge dealer and have them scan it. Does anyone know how much it will cost?
How can I prevent my car from starting on fire?
I have a derby car which is a 92 Dodge Shadow that has a 4 cylinder engine. When I hot rod it the engine gets real hot and sometimes starts on fire (around where the starter is located) or smokes like crazy. I used to own a Plymoth Sundance which had the same problem and same engine. So what can I do besides carry some water with me when I hot rod it?
Also does throwing water on it hurt the engine any?
Fire came out of my exhaust pipe?
I just bought a '99 dodge caravan and it had a problem.
It had a fuel injector malfunction code so the injector was replaced but shortly after it would not start. I did a tune up. Plugs, wires, cap rotor and fuel filter.
Ran like crap.
Took it to a mechanic who said that the injector that had just been replaced was stuck open so I took it back to the shop that replaced the injector.
Halfway to the shop sparks started flying out of the tailpipe and a burst of fire. At which point the engine actually started to run like it had some power.
But, now it smokes and I want some opinions on what may have broken that has caused it to start smoking.
The smoke immediately after the fire incident was black but now it's blowing smoke that looks like oil burning.
The van only has 110,000 miles on it so I don't think the oil burning is age.

1. Piston Rings

I've already asked this once, but I'm hoping to get a concensus so I'm trying again.

a new muffler on my truck? will it mess with my engine?
i have a 2003 dodge ram quad cab 5.9Lv8. i want to buy the flowmaster super 44 muffler for it
but someone mentioned to me that each car has a certain firing order for the engine, and it is designed for a certain amount of air flow out of the exhaust(not sure if that makes sense)
but basically, if i installed a new muffler, i can be changing the diameter of airflow being let out and it can mess with the engine timing
not sure if im being clear
is this true? if so, how can i get it fixed? i see people installing exhausts and mufflers on their trucks all the time
