I need to build a bridge across a 20' wide stream.
My idea is to use 30' utility poles, 2+2 where vehicle tires would be, and rough saw 2x? decking.
It is for a driveway so it must support things like the oil delivery truck and (God forbid) fire trucks.
I have available 6 slightly used poles. There will be no support in the center, just the 5' on each side of the stream and the 20' span.
I need some data as to what these poles are capable of supporting with that kind of load.
We have a civics project in which we must write a speech trying to get us re-elected as mayor a Plasticville. Your budget is 0,000 and there are five problems. the rest are solved. I need help on the bridge. The bridge is very old and in bad condition. On one side of the river is the fire department and on the other the wood cultural district. To fix the bridge it costs 0,000. I can not put that much into it and still solve the other problems. Does anybody know how much it would cost to buy a steel beam support system that would help the bridge last longer? The only way I have figured out how to "solve" it is to pay ,667 a month to fix the bridge for a year. If I don't fix the bridge I get fined 0,000. So it muct be done. My only concern is if somebody asks while I'm presenting what happens if there is a fire during the construction. **The fire truck ways 5 tons and the bridge just got measured and it can only hold 3 tons.)** Could I somehow move the fire truck across the river and keep it in a garage, (ammount for that needed) this is al so hard. Please help. **By the way, I would have(if I did the ,667 a month plan) ,208 left over... For what?!?
