Replacing Carpet in old truck. I don’t plan on buying a molded carpet kit. Can it be cut and formed.?
My big worry is the hump in the middle, where the carpet goes upward near the fire wall, that angle needs a cut, Any ideas , tips appreciated.
I am selling the truck as soon as I get it looking decent, not into investing money into it.

i guess there are at least two answers to this question. are you doing it for you or are you doing it to sell the truck?
a nice clean carpet without holes or stains helps to move a vehicle. my brother and i put a new carpet in an old car of his and it improved the appearance 100%. he just bought some cheap auto carpet in a generic color and we went to town removing the seats and the shifter console and putting the new carpet in. it was cheap, it didn’t look bad, but it didn’t really look professional if you know what i mean. you could go that route if you’re just trying to sell the truck.
if you’re going to keep the truck i’d go for a molded carpet kit that fits like it’s supposed to. just my .02

I hate to tell you but i would just buy the molded carpet. they only cost like 75-100bucks out of jc whitney it will look a whole lot better unless you are an upholstery guy but then you wouldn’t be asking this question.
