puppy started howling??
my 10 month old lab puppy never used to howl before. But last month we went for a vacation for 3 weeks and left the dog under a lady for boarding. Ever since we got back he started howling everyday. She told us that one of her dog used to howl at fire trucks and my puppy used to go sit next to him. I think he got the behavior from him and now hes howling in a strange tone every evening. WTF???? How can i make him stop it?

Ha ha I have a bullmastiff and My boyfriend would play the harmonica and he would howl along to it. I’d even howl and he will howl along, i think it’s cute.

lolllllllllllllllllllllll my dog howls all the time urs just picked up the howling from his elders lol hes just a baby he’ll grow out of it, pups r like babies they copy. just enjoy him they dnt stay little for long i miss mine being that small shes 2 now

hahahahahahahahaha this is funny because when my dog was young, he started howling when he heard sirens, and after few mothns all the dogs that lived near by learned to howl………………….now my doggie is 15yrs and he howls few times a day…….(for no reason)

He’s a puppy so he’ll be stubborn but this will work eventually
Wait till about the time he starts howling and get a treat. When he starts howling go up to him and kneel to his level so your not over whelming and and say firmly without shouting "no". And use your fingers to hold his mouth closed for a second. Then let go. if he is quiet for a few seconds reward him with a treat.
When he gets the hang of that expand the time in which he is quiet until one "no" will make him be quiet.
After he gets the whole " when you say no and he stops he gets reward" thing catches on try substituting treats for pats or rubs or "good boy!/Girl"

ok he probably learned it from the dog of course wat kind of dog is the other dog that may be important u should contact a vet and ask wats up hope your lol best dog ever gets better i love labs
