Are there any websites that I can use to track down an old truck for free?

OR

Maybe you know this truck:
It is either a 1945 or 1949 Chevrolet
It was converted into a fire truck with a custom body in 1949
It had a 500 gallon former oil tank for a water tank added in 1949
It had a small pump added in 1949
It had a blinker and lights added in 1950
It had tire chains and a siren added in 1951
It possibly got a new pump in 1952
It was possibly insured in 1954
A conservor was possibly added in 1954
Used to belong to the Guilford Volunteer Fire Department in Guilford, VT

Thank you.

You could use carfax.com to track down its history but I doubt that will tell you where it is. It will help you get started, however. If you check the last place who owned it that could give you a lead as well.

Good luck. Start with the fire co. records to see who purchased it when they sold it
