2002 Focus Engine Floods Itself out!?
I bought a 2002 Ford Focus ZTS from a dealer about 6 months ago, and the warranty expired 2 weeks before the problem started. Anyway, I was driving home from work, stopped to look at a car for sale for my friend, got back in, started the car and began to drive off. After about a minute the car jerked and started mis-firing, so I pulled over, checked the oil etc. and everything was ok. I started the car back up and drove it home. The next morning it stopped running all together, it would not fire AT ALL. So I pushed it to a shop a block away and they said that the Ignition Coil was bad. I replaced it, got new plugs, air filter, and plug wires. The car starts now, but floods itself out now and SMELLS of rich fuel, as well as stuttering. Any ideas on what could be wrong with it? Suggestions I have gotten are Oxygen Sensors, Mass-Air Flow Sensors, and a possible clogged Catalytic Converter. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

it can be the fuel pressure regulator or a bad ECU if you have the check engine light on go for a scan that will tell you exactly was going on
im pretty sure you have an electrical issue so scan is your option there
im not gona say was wrong because it can simple things like fusses and stuff or really bad things like ecu or maffsensor so ROOKIES stop guessing
